The Henderson FabTech Desert Classic celebrates its 8th year in the Henderson area. This year the race will feature a redesigned 60 mile course including two pit areas, a start finish area and an official spectator area.
Friday, December 4th:
10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Technical Inspection & Contingency and Off Road Expo
on Water Street in the Water Street District (Downtown Henderson)
Saturday, December 5th:
RACE DAY:
Race is at the dry lake bed in Jean, NV
6:30 a.m. Staging for 1st Race
7:00 a.m. Class 1100, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, 3100, 3700, 4100, 4400, 6000, 7100, 7300, 8100. These classes will race around an approximate 60 mile loop four times.
12:00 p.m. Staging for 2nd Race
12:30 p.m. Class 1000, 1200, 1400, 1500, 5000, 7200, 8000. These classes will race around an approximate 15 mile loop four times.
FREE spectator admission.
Drivers must pay a registration fee to participate.
Dirrections:
Coming from Henderson or Las Vegas, take I-15 South to exit 12 in Jean, NV and make a left turn. Cross the railroad tracks and proceed to Knight Ranch Road, make a right. There will be flagmen helping to direct you from there.

The Henderson Winterfest celebrations will kick-off with "Sounds of the Season" a concert by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. Many local high school choir's will join the Henderson Symphony Orchestra as they entertain you. This is a great way to let the young people of our community know how proud you are of them, while you enjoy an outstandingly special concert.

Friday's guests of honor will be none other than Santa Claus and Mayor Andy Hafen who will officiate lighting the holiday tree at 6:00p.m.1st Annual Festival of Trees:Trees decorated by civic groups representing various countries and cultures will be on display on the Henderson Events Plaza. Stop by and enjoy the mix of ethnic and cultural flavors. Some of the countries being represented are Ireland, Korea, Philippines, Hawaii, Scotland and Italy.
The "Tree Lot" will officially open:Stop by and purchase a tree, stand or wreath for your home.There will be ice skating, train rides, wagon rides, kids activities, pony rides, a petting zoo, craft fair, and live entertainment making an evening full of fun.Entertainment on the Events Plaza will include:International School Chorus at 5:15p.m.Gingerbread House Contest 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Convention CenterTree Lighting 6:00p.m.Santa's Arrival 6:00p.m.Commemorative Beautification Commission Holiday Decorating Awards 6:00p.m.Schofield & Thurman White Middle Schools at 6:30p.m. until 7:30p.m."The Nutcracker" at 7:30p.m. presented by the Insurgo Theatre Movement, puts a new modern twist on this holiday classic play. Following the parade enjoy:The Winterfest craft show introducing 65 vendors will entice you with their goods. 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Food and specialty vendors will be onsite all weekend.

This year's theme is "Toys on Parade." Each entry will be judged in two catagories, Best Overall Themed Entry ($1,000 prize) and Best Costume ($500 prize).
